Arts for All, Los Angeles County’s dynamic, countywide collaboration to restore standards-based arts education into the public school core curriculum, received the Arts Education Award at the

Arts for All has announced the application and workshops for arts education professional development providers who wish to be included in their online directory.  The deadline for directory application is July 27, 2011.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission and its partners have announced the launch of the new website for Arts for All, the dynamic, county-wide collaboration working to create vibrant classrooms, schools, communities and economies through the restoration of all arts disciplines into the core curriculum for each of our 1.6

Apply by April 20th for the Leadership in Arts Management Program for alumni of The Getty Foundation and Los Angeles County Arts Commission Internship Programs.

Los Angeles County, through its Arts Commission, has given grants totaling $250,000 to arts organizations throughout Los Angeles County to support paid internships for college undergraduates in summer 2011.

This year's Empowerment Congress features a session focused on Social Justice through the Arts. Session presenters include Laura Zucker (LA County Arts Commission), Guillermo Aviles-Rodriguez (Watts Village Theater Company), Brooke Davis Anderson (LACMA), and Susan Anderson (UCLA Library Special Collections).

Los Angeles Arts Month is coming in January 2011.  Organizations and individual artists can participate in this region-wide celebration of Los Angeles County's arts and culture:

Applications are now open for Los Angeles County nonprofit arts organizations to hire summer interns.  The deadline to apply is December 15.  There is a free workshop scheduled for November 18.
 

On Tuesday, July 6th, Los Angeles County Supervisors Antonovich and Ridley-Thomas brought a joint amendment to restore funding to several Los Angeles County Arts Commission programs, including the Arts Internship program.
