The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs invites members of the Los Angeles creative community to attend the Broadway Arts Center Artist Market Survey Workshop and learn about efforts to bring affordable space for artists and arts organizations to downtown LA.

Late Friday, March 18th, the Los Angeles' City Administrative Office has issued a series of budget recommendations that include sweeping cuts to city departments, services and expenditures, including Neighborhood Councils, Channel 36, crossing guards, Recreation & Parks and the Department of Cultural Affairs.

This Wednesday, March 23rd at 2:30pm, a Rally to Protect LA's Recovery will be held in downtown Los Angeles.

The Rally draws attention to the potentially devastating impact of proposed federal budget cuts to the nonprofit and social sectors of the Los Angeles Region.

Creative Cities International, an organization dedicated to examining and promoting the role of culture in urban planning, is creating a Vitality Index for 35 cities in the U.S., including Los Angeles.
