The Long Beach Arts Advocacy Team is a group of community stakeholders whose mission is to support and advocate for the arts in Long Beach schools and civic life.

The group envisions Long Beach with accessible and inclusive arts programs, cohesive and engaging arts & culture marketing, accessible and permanent arts education, diversified and reliable arts funding and meaning and productive collaboration among the arts community and the community at large..

The Arts Council for Long Beach will host a California Arts Project workshop on the career technical standards and how they related to the Visual and Performing Arts disciplines. The workshop is for artists, teaching artists and arts administrators and will explore curriculum connections for the arts, examine the role practicing professionals in the Arts, Media, and Entertainment fields can play in supporting "preparing students to be work-life-college ready," and provide tips for connecting your current programs and curricula to the career technical standards.
The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA), in partnership with Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal, the City of Long Beach Department of Special Events and Filming, the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency (RDA), the East Village Association and the Arts Council of Long Beach has developed and released an online survey to help gain a better understanding of how art events and activities in Downtown are utilized and where potential may exist for expansion and growth.
