Thank the Montebello USD School Board for funding Arts Education
The Montebello Unified School District has a history of leadership in supporting the arts in our schools. In the coming weeks, Board members will face some tough budget decisions, and we want to let them know how much the community appreciates their ongoing commitment to arts education.
Demonstrating once again their leadership in arts education, the Board recently took advantage of a matching grant from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission to fund a Kindergarten Arts Integration initiative. This new program will include artist-led classroom workshops and professional development for Kindergarten teachers at three elementary schools.
With continued support from the board and the community, this new initiative will have a lasting impact on all MUSD Kindergarten classrooms and beyond.
The Montebello board is doing their part to maintain quality education for our children during these difficult economic times. It is time for us to do our part by voicing our support for arts education in Montebello USD.
